Packages of shockwave therapy for specific conditions are available through many BUPA policies.

Is has been a long process waiting to be registered and sorry to all of you who have not been able to access your BUPA physiotherapy care in Sudbury with Edge Physio.

But that has very much changed now!!!

Edge Physio continues to lead the way for new, cutting edge Physiotherapy technology in Sudbury, Suffolk. We first bought shockwave therapy to Sudbury, now we bring the first footscan plate technology.

This measures your foot pressures, through balance, walking and running.

From this, an insole template is created & then your custom 3D printed insoles are made from this!

Biomechanics assessments using footscan will also be available.

Unfortunately, I will be out of clinic from 18-31st March. I have been asked to head over to Canada with the GB Snowsport Para-Snowboard team for 2 competitions.

1st is at Big White & then we have a 4 hour flight north into Yukon, for a competition at a new small custom built race track!

It should be a great two weeks and hopefully the team can get some World Cup wins!!!

Edge Physio is delighted to welcome Clair to the team! Clair will be providing sports massage treatments on a Saturday morning, at the Edge Physio clinic room in Sudbury.

While Scott uses aspects of massage work in his overall treatment, Clair can provide full sports massage sessions to those of you who require more recovery, heavy leg or general muscle tightness work.

Scott has been invited by the University of Suffolk, to help with the interviews for the new applicants to their BSc Physiotherapy program.

Another great link for Edge Physio in Sudbury and certainly an invite that has been gratefully accepted.

There is potential for the link to progress in to one or two guest lectures about various things within physio and private physio, so watch this space!

Scott has been asked to work with the GB Para-snowboard team for the 23-24 season, as they work towards the Winter Paralympics in 2026.

What an absolute privilege to be able to work alongside a team and a group of people like the Para-snowboard team. 

After a successful season last year, which brought 2 x Crystal Globes and a World Championship silver and bronze medal, the team will be looking for more progress!!

Hopefully Edge Physio in can help them a little bit on their route to more success.

Nina Sparks followed bronze medal at the World Championships with an amazing silver medal in the banked slalom event.

At the start of the season, Nina was beginning to compete in the Europa Cup level events. Even in Pyha, Finland, in January, she was still learning the start sections of the boardercross events - having never come out of the full start gate before in that event. Now she is a double World Championship medallist.

She shows that a diagnosis or an injury does not have to stop you!!!!

Nina Sparks won a bronze medal at the World Championships in La Molina, Spain. She competes in the LL2 category and produced a fantastic effort to win a bronze medal in the Snowboard Cross event. It has been amazing to see her progress from the start of the season, to now, a Bronze Medallist at the World Championships!

It is an absolute privilege to be able to support these amazing athletes and people. What a team to be a part of!!!There is another event to go, the banked slalom event...

Scott was recently approached by GB Snowsports about the possibility of supporting their teams. He has primarily been assigned to work alongside the Para-Snowboard team! He has already been to two events, one World Cup banked slalom indoor in Holland and one Boardercross World Cup event in Pyha, Finland. The team are aiming towards the World Championships in March. Go Team GB!!! 

Friends of Edge Physio have volunteered to manage and coach Long Melford Colts u8s team. 

We were asked if we would like to be a tracksuit sponsor for the team..... of course!!!

The team look great in the tracksuits and we hope they enjoy their season. At this age, enjoying the game is the main thing. A win or two along the way can always help :-)

We have moved room, again! Sorry for any inconvenience, but hopefully it should not be too much of a problem as the new room is just round the corner from the old room.

Instead of Room 11, we will now be in room 16. The new room shall hopefully provide an even nicer experience for everybody who visits. There is a large window for plenty of natural light, which many clinic rooms do not have. We also have an entrance room, which will partially be used for a small sitting waiting area. 

Edge Physio is currently running one Physio Led Pilates class around Sudbury, Suffolk.

This is held at Acton village hall from 0745 - 0830.

There are 12 spaces in the class, which is currently at maximum capacity. But keep a look out on our Instagram & Facebook pages for any availability.

Edge Physio Led Pilates classes mix traditional Pilates ideas & principles with Scott's strong sports physiotherapy & rehab background.

Classes are aimed to challenge you, but help you move better & feel great!

Edge Physio is closing from Xmas Eve through to the new year. We will take emergency bookings and remember, you all have your rehab app login to remember all your exercises and rehab work! I’ll let you off on Xmas day though :-)
